This program is offered to students ages 4-12 who are taught two benchmark skills.
- Swim, float, swim – A child who has entered the water can swim to safety, and if needed, turn on their back to float and rest, then turn back over and resume swimming.
- Jump, push, turn, grab – If a child were to fall into the water, they can push off the bottom, turn around, and grab onto the side or wall for safety.
We offer three different age range classes:
4-6 year olds
7-9 year olds
10-12 year olds

Swim Safety to Group Lessons
Completed the swim safety lessons and interested in continuing swimming? Our swim safety lesson curriculum is designed to easily blend with our traditional group lessons. Most youth who have completed the swim safety lessons’ advanced stage are ready for stage 3 or 4 in traditional lessons. If you are interested in switching into group lessons, talk to an aquatics leader – they will be able to give you the best recommendation on which stage is a best fit based on where your child’s skills are at!
