Our teen programs and experiences aspire to create a ripple effect of positive change, helping teens develop agency, identity, and essential skills. We support young people in pursuing their self-identified goals through a strengths-based, Positive Youth Development, and trauma-informed approach that builds confidence, belonging, ownership, and trusting relationships with adults and peers. Here's how we do it:
- Strengthening Cultural & Community Connection: We encourage active community engagement by involving teens in projects that address local needs, instilling a sense of responsibility and civic pride. We celebrate the cultural richness of our community, offering platforms for cultural expression through various art mediums.
- Promoting Health & Wellness: Recognizing the connection between physical and mental health, we emphasize resilience, stress management, and work-life balance.
- Fostering Social-Emotional Development: Through mentorship, teamwork, and experiential learning, our programs nurture social-emotional development.
