Veterans Kids to Camp 2024
Veterans Kids to Camp program is a great way to introduce military children to summer programs and services offered at the Y of the North. Week long camp adventures can be that life-changing experience youth need to thrive and cope with the changes that come with growing up in a military family. While summer program offerings at the Y may include the arts and crafts, boating, swimming, sports and more, it also provides opportunities for military children to make meaningful connections. For military children, who may face moving to a new city, state and school every two to three years, these friendships, support networks and memories last a lifetime.
Programs Included
Y day camps, summer power, nature power, and summer sports sites.
Discount
$100 off any summer day programs with the Y of the North (one week per child). To qualify for this program, service members, Veterans, and families must provide a non-redacted copy of either DD214, NGB22, a copy of their Officer Record Brief or Enlisted Record Brief (ORD/ERB), or current Common Access Card.
How do I apply?
- Create your Y account online in preparation to register. If you have previously used Y programs or membership, you can verify your information when you sign in.
- Submit a copy of your DD214, ORB, ERB, or current Common Access Card to Y Customer Service for verification. Using our online form to attach your document is safe and secure.
- Once Y staff confirm your eligibility, you will receive an email to register for any summer day program and receive $100 off one week or program per child. You can register for more program weeks, but the discount will only apply to one week.
- Please Y Customer Service if you have any questions about the process. Our Y team can also help you with your online Y account.
Please note the discount will not be applied until you get to the Checkout page. Registrations can not be completed by phone.
Who’s Eligible?
Any person who is or has served in any branch of the military. Those no longer serving who have been discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable.
