Teen Programming

Teen programs are accessible to all teens, and can really make a difference—gain confidence, build life skills, give back to the community, make friends and more. Contact Cassie Athorp, Community Program Director, to explore Teen programs at the Y.

Teen Programming

Leaders Club

Leaders Club is directed and powered by teens. It provides opportunities to develop leadership skills and abilities through service-learning activities and projects. Learn to be a leader and help make a difference in our community.

It’s free to participate—if you’re in grades 6-8, join a meeting! Interested in joining? Join us on Tuesday afternoons at 4:00pm in the Teen Center!

Girls Night In

Our seven-week program, designed specifically for 5th and 6th grade girls, was created to help with the transition from elementary to middle school. Each week focuses on a different topic such as mental health and confidence and includes a healthy snack and physical activity.

  • We will offer Girls Night In again in 2025! Thank you for your patience.

Teen Night

Youth in Government and Model United Nations

Join our Remind Text Group by texting @wwyig to 81010 to receive text updates about upcoming meetings.

Youth in Government

Get engaged with the important issues that face the state, nation and world. Learn how government works in order to make change happen. Speak your truth and listen with respect while others share theirs. Students gather at the Minnesota State Capitol to learn the "ins-and-outs" of government, and have the chance to participate in making bills, challenging court cases, lobbying, and more! Open to those in grades 8-12.

Model United Nations

For three days every spring, students take part in an experiential learning process as Ambassadors and UN Officials in simulated international diplomacy. Students in grades 7-12 can choose to serve in the General Assembly, International Court of Justice, Economic and Social Council, Security Council, Human Rights Council, or the Media. Model UN offers students the chance to experience the richness of different cultures around the world, develop empathy, and hone their critical thinking skills while engaging with a wide variety of perspectives and global issues. Interested in learning more? Check out the Model United Nations website. Join the Western Wisconsin Delegation!
