Meet Team Gathering Pines

Nick Dyson, Camp Program Director 

My name is Nick Dyson and I have served as the Gathering Pines Program Director since the camp’s establishment in 2022! I have enjoyed connecting with the Y’s camp community while we immerse youth and families in the natural world. I particularly love fostering new outdoor experiences that promote personal wellbeing, growth, and confidence. I have a B.A in Outdoor Education from Black Hills State University, and I was introduced to Y Adventure as a summer staff at Camp St. Croix. When not at camp, I enjoy biking, climbing, camping and star gazing. I am excited to continue connecting people to the outdoors through day camp, retreats, school groups and more! 

Niall Murton, Camp Executive Director 

Niall Murton is the Executive Director for YMCA Gathering Pines, a 225-acre outdoor playground in Lakeville, Minnesota. He has 27 years’ experience in the non-profit world (with the YMCA and Parks & Recreation in Denver & the Twin Cities) developing programs, initiatives, facilities, resources, and staff teams. He is responsible for the Day Camp operations for 9 locations in the Twin Cities and Rochester, serving more than 30,000 campers each summer.  

He holds bachelor's degrees in health & physical education, Elementary Education, and a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction. When he is not at work, Niall enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, camping, running on the beautiful trails in the Twin Cities, coaching soccer, attending Minnesota United games, or reading a book. 

Jasmine Vorasane, Camp Business Administrator 

My name is Jasmine Vorasane and I am the Business Administrator at Gathering Pines and Camp Ihduhapi. I get to be a part of so many adventures, being on the Adventure Team and it has been so much fun. I have a B.A. in communications and a minor in Spanish from Minnesota State University, Mankato. When I'm not at camp, I enjoy going on hikes, traveling, baking and hanging out with friends and family. 

Jake Langevin, Property Manager 

My name is Jake Langevin, and I am the Property Manager at Gathering Pines. I have been with the YMCA since 1989 with only a 10-year break to run Horse businesses here in Minnesota and in California. I have the best job in the YMCA. I get to live on and spend my days working on our beautiful 225-acre property. Building, fixing, and caring for all of it. I have lived and worked in the Elko/New Market area for a long time and could not be happier to build even deeper ties with our neighbors and community.
