The fun festivities celebrated the mission of the Y
On September 28, 2018, the Dayton Y at Gaviidae transformed into multi-floor entertainment extravaganza for the YMCA Gala. The celebratory event was an opportunity to showcase the vast programming available at the Y, feature the innovative spaces in the Dayton facility and raise funds to help the YMCA further its mission in our community.
Bruce Mooty, Chair of the Y Board of Directors said, “This was an extremely well-organized, classy and fun event for all attendees.”

- Community-made tunes from Y.N.RichKids—a group formed by the Y’s Beats & Rhymes program
- Curling demonstrations from the U.S. gold-medal-winning Olympic team
- Music from the Paul Peterson Band and DJ Michael Grey
- Surprise singing from CEO Glen Gunderson
