Camp St. Croix Community Board

Our Mission: Camp St. Croix builds community and teaches respect for self, others and nature through summer camp, outdoor education and retreats.

The Camp St. Croix Community Board is a committed group of individuals with a passion for St. Croix’s mission and programming. We are committed to being a strong and inviting community that helps advise, advocate, and support St. Croix’s strategic direction and mission delivery.

Recruitment for board members is an ongoing process. We are looking to connect with individuals who have the following areas of expertise and experiences:

  • Access to the outdoors
  • Mental health 
  • Social media/marketing and technology
  • Graphic design 
  • Risk management
  • Multicultural youth development, leadership, and education
  • Fundraising and alumni development
  • Natural resource management / environmental conservation
St. Croix Board Member Volunteer Description – coming soon!

Camp St. Croix’ Executive Director, Executive Committee and Board Development Committee work to help recruit and onboard new board members. Board terms often begin in the fall and individuals start by serving a two-year term, with the option of a second term that can be two or three years in length.

Camp St. Croix’ Committees and Task Forces

Camp St. Croix’s Board is supported and informed by a number of committees and task forces. Participation in a committee or task force is required from all community board members. We also welcome individuals interested in serving on the board to start by joining a committee. This option allows individuals to become more familiar with St. Croix volunteer community, before officially joining the community board.
