Camp Icaghowan - Meet the Leaders
The YMCA Camping team has welcomed several new leaders in recent months. We are excited about the passion, energy and experience they bring to their roles and look forward to seeing what they can achieve. Please help us welcome the following leaders to the Icaghowan community.
Gretchen Hoff, Senior Program Director
Hello! My name is Gretchen Hoff, and I'm stepping in as the new Senior Program Director here at IC! Icaghowan Alumni from the mid-90's might remember me as the "camp kid" running around the shores of Wapogasset at a very young age, before I began my sixteen summers as an overnight camper and then staff member on the Island. Icaghowan has long since been a "second home" to me, and I am so very excited to be returning on the leadership team!
I received my undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and went on to build my career through experience in the recruiting and staffing industry, procurement and contract operations, and programmatic leadership at other YMCA overnight camps in Wisconsin and California. I've been lucky enough to serve as an Icaghowan Community Council (aka Board) member for over five years, and have so enjoyed staying connected and involved with IC after my seasonal staff tenure wrapped up on the Island.
I cannot wait to jump in and expand on the incredible work that the Icaghowan team has been doing to broaden our programming, community reach, and camper-base. The island is full of magic, and I am so excited to help provide that magic to all! I look forward to engaging with our community and facilitating stellar programming. See you all soon!
