Traditional Camp and More

One Week Traditional

6 days | Ages 7–17 | $1,050

Your classic sleep away camp experience. Campers choose four activities to participate in over the length of their session. These will be progressive in nature with kids working on skills from day to day and year to year. Campers will also play all camp games, give back to the community through service activities.

Two Week Traditional

13 days | Ages 7–17 | $2,300

Your classic sleep away camp experience. Campers choose four activities to participate in over the length of their session. Campers will also play all camp games, give back to the community through service activities and two week campers will go on an overnight camping experience across the lake.

Bridge Program

3 days | Ages 7–17 | $350

The Bridge Program is available to campers who wish to register for two or more sessions, creating a longer summer experience. In addition to camp activities, campers will have an opportunity to do laundry and relax around camp.

Emphasis Programs

A traditional camper dives deeper into one activity by participating in it for two out of four activity periods.

Drama Emphasis

13 days | Ages 7–17 | $2,400 

A great opportunity for 2-week campers to write, rehearse and perform their own play. You will develop lifelong skills of public speaking, collaboration, and artistic expression.

Fishing Emphasis

6 days | Ages 7–17 | $1,150

For Summer 2025, we are offering 1-week Fishing Emphasis camp! Half Moon Lake is home to a variety of wildlife and fish such as sunnies, northern, bass, and more! Campers will spend two activities of the day exploring all corners of our nearly-private lake and learning fishing techniques.

Photography Emphasis

13 days | Ages 12–17 | $2,400

Spend two activity periods learning the art of black and white photography. You’ll learn proper exposure and shot composition, film development, and printmaking in Camp Warren’s fully-equipped dark room. Bring a personal 35mm camera or use one provided by the camp.

Sailing Emphasis

The Half Moon Yacht Club is a long-standing tradition at Camp Warren. The privacy of our lake provides a great space for extensive sailing lessons—from beginner to advanced levels. Spend two activity periods each day learning sailing techniques, tipping and safety procedures, equipment care and individual goal setting.

Teen Artist Emphasis

13 days | Ages 13–17 | $2,400

Starting Summer 2025, teenagers can sign up to take their creativity to the next level with an interdisciplinary project. Campers will be able to choose two of Warren’s arts programs (music, pottery, photo, crafts, and drama) and work independently to make something they’re passionate about! The possibilities are endless: set design, musical numbers, photo galleries, and more!

Leadership and Wilderness

Backpacking Trip

7–8 days | Ages 13–17 | $1,620

INVITATION ONLY

A great opportunity for anyone who has completed one of our Short Border canoe trips! This hiking trip offers campers the opportunity to continue to advance the camping skills on the Kekekabic or Superior Hiking Trail. Campers will spend one night in camp preparing for their trip and then embark on their six-day hiking trip. Option to bridge this trip with a two-week session is available.

Short Border Canoe Trip

13 days | Ages 12–17 | $2,570

Canoeists leave base camp to dip their paddles into crystal-clear water while gliding past majestic pines in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! On this beginning to mid-level wilderness canoe trip, campers learn the basics of wilderness canoe-tripping and minimum impact camping. Campers begin with in-camp preparations before their 5-day trip to the BWCAW. The remainder of the 2-week session is spent doing traditional camp activities. This is a great preparation for longer canoe trips.

Long Border Canoe Trip

13 days | Ages 14–17 | $2,800

INVITATION ONLY

This trip has a long history and is rich in traditions. Campers will arrive at camp on Sunday, prepare for the trip and then head out on a 9-night/10-day trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). Runs within 2-week sessions.

50/50 Sailing Trip

13 days | Ages 14–17 | $3,400

INVITATION ONLY

The Fifty-Fifty sailing trip has been a long standing tradition at Camp Warren. We are fortunate to be teamed up with Dreamcatcher Sailing, based in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Warren campers and a counselor become the crew as they learn how to sail and handle the boat, anchoring or docking at night at one of the protected islands of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. By day, they sail, swim, hike and explore the sea caves by dinghy.

Long Long Border

15 days | Ages 15–17 | $3,000

INVITATION ONLY

This trip’s roots date back to 1972 when Warren began running the “Outpost” trip for campers who wished to experience more expeditionary travel after their Long Border year. Campers that excelled on Long Border are invited on this extended canoe trip to explore more of the wilderness area and further strengthen their expeditionary travel and leadership skills.

This year we are excited to bring back a piece of Camp Warren trail History and announce that the Long Long Border trip will Venture into the Quetico in Ontario Canada! This is a unique opportunity for our campers to explore brand new lakes and sights in a more remote location. Runs out-of-session.

All Campers participating in this trip will need a passport to attend.

100/100 Sailing Trip

10 days | Ages 15–17 | $3,900

INVITATION ONLY

Successful 50/50 participants are invited to participate in this extended Lake Superior sailing trip. Five days longer than 50/50, sailors are able to explore more of Lake Superior and participate in more technical crossings. Routes may include a visit to Isle Royale or exploring Superior’s North Shore. Nine days of working as a crew, learning about one of North America’s greatest treasures — Lake Superior, and having fun.

Counselors in Training (CIT)

27 days | Ages 16–17 | $3,500

Learn what it takes to be a leader. This four-week session will prepare you for a future as a camp counselor or youth development worker. Develop your leadership potential as you work closely with Y counselors to help deliver programming to younger campers. CIT includes lifeguard and CPR training from the American Red Cross, a camping trip, and daily seminars on various camp counselor and leadership topics.
